Ace
A ranked list of Counter-Strike pros for each difficulty, every day. Name everyone on it and it’s an ace.
How to play Ace
Every day brings a ranked list from the pro scene for each difficulty: the most Major titles, the highest career earnings, the most HLTV MVPs, the best players in a club's history, the richest players of a country, the best career ADR. Type a pro's name. If he is on the list, his card turns over at his rank. If he is not, you spend a healthshot.
A tie at the bottom keeps everyone tied, so a list can hold nine names or fourteen: the wall always shows how many cards there are. A wrong guess tells you where that player really stands when he is close, and "#12, just outside" is worth knowing for the next list.
The difficulty sets your healthshots and your clues. Easy gives five and shows every player's shadow, flag and number; Medium three and the flags; Hard three and nothing else; Impossible a single one.
Tips
- Start with the names you are sure of: a healthshot is only spent on a miss.
- Read the subtitle. "Without a Major" lists rule out the Astralis core at once.
- On Easy the shadows are the real clue: a haircut or a cap gives a lot away.
- A near miss is information: a player ranked just outside tells you roughly where the cut sits.
Frequently asked questions
Why is it called Ace?
In Counter-Strike an ace is one player taking down the whole enemy team. Here it is naming every pro on the list before your healthshots run out.
Is there a new list every day?
Four of them: every difficulty has its own list of the day, the same for everyone, and Easy's is always a list of stars. Unlimited then deals lists you have not played yet before it repeats one.
Why does a list have more than ten names?
Because ties are kept. If three players share tenth place, all three are on the list, and the wall shows a card for each of them.
Can I play it with friends?
Yes. Open a room in Multiplayer and pick Ace: everyone gets the same list, every name is checked as it is typed, and the most names found wins the round.
