CS2 Blur — Name the Blurred Pro

A pixelated photo of a Counter-Strike 2 pro sharpens with every wrong guess. Name them before the picture gives it away.

How to play CS2 Blur

Blur shows you the photo of a professional Counter-Strike 2 player — heavily pixelated. Recognize the pro and type their name. Every wrong guess sharpens the image one step, but the earlier you get it right, the better your score.

The player pool spans the whole competitive history of Counter-Strike: today’s HLTV top 100, everyone who has passed through it, and hand-picked veterans. On Easy you’ll face the most famous faces of CS2; on Impossible, even dedicated HLTV readers will squint.

Tips

  • Start with silhouettes: hair, headset and jersey colors survive the blur better than faces.
  • Team jerseys are a huge clue — learn the current sponsor colors of tier-one rosters.
  • If you’re stuck, guess a plausible player anyway: one more level of sharpness is worth more than a skipped turn.

Frequently asked questions

How does the blur work?

The photo starts heavily pixelated and loses one level of blur with each wrong guess, so the picture is fully sharp by the last attempt.

Does guessing early score more?

Yes. The fewer reveals you use, the better your result for that round.

Where do the photos come from?

They are press and event photos of professional players, matched to the same weekly-updated database the other games use.
