CS2 Major Draft

Draft five Counter-Strike 2 pros by role, then coach them live through a full Major — Swiss stage, playoffs, round by round.

How to play CS2 Major Draft

Major Draft is a fantasy draft and tournament simulator in one. Draft five professional CS2 players role by role — IGL, AWPer, riflers — then take your squad through a full Major: a 16-team Swiss stage followed by a best-of-three playoff bracket.

Your own matches play out live, round by round, HLTV-style: map veto, a radar with moving players, kill feed, round history and full scoreboards. Between rounds you make the coach calls — force-buys, ecos, timeouts, star setups — and your decisions genuinely swing close rounds. Higher difficulties hide player ratings and slip trap picks into your draft pool, so drafting well takes real knowledge of the current pro scene.

Tips

  • A real in-game leader and a dedicated AWPer matter more than raw star power in five-man synergy.
  • On harder difficulties, beware off-role picks: a star rifler drafted as an AWPer underperforms.
  • In the veto, protect the maps your affinity pips favor — the sim rewards playing your picks.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a full Major take?

A run covers a 16-team Swiss stage and a best-of-three playoff bracket. Routine rounds are simulated fast and dramatic rounds slow down, so a Major fits in a single sitting.

Do my in-match calls actually matter?

Yes. Force-buys, ecos, timeouts and star setups shift the odds of the round they are called in, and a good call is worth roughly five percentage points on a close round.

Which maps are in the pool?

The current competitive pool: Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis, Dust2 and Cache, each with its real radar overview.
